Classification: Sr. Accountant
Compensation: $100000.00 to $110000.00 yearly
Our client is a leader in the medical technology space and is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant for an 18-month contract role. The successful candidate for the role of Senior Accountant, Finance will be involved in the full spectrum of accounting and reporting for the corporate results, with a focus on the preparation of the consolidated audited financial statements and related note disclosures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works with the Finance team to deliver accurate and timely reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting (US GAAP)
• Drafting and reviewing journal entries, translation of foreign subsidiaries.
• Updating schedules and reviewing schedules updated by other members of the finance team.
• Participates in the annual consolidated global audit and statutory audits for EMEA entities and engages with external audit team to ensure satisfactory and timely completion of the audits and financial statement preparation
• Assists with day-to-day accounting which may include: a review of month-end journals, consolidation, preparation of policies and procedures
• Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures within their remit. Also, looks for opportunities for process improvements and will work with the Finance team in implementing new processes that provide better operational efficiency
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree and accounting designation
• Minimum 3+ years' work experience
• Excellent with Microsoft Excel
• Experience drafting consolidated financial statements
• Previous experience working for a multinational preferred
• Strong verbal and written communicator
