The Ballard Finance Team has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Expense Auditor, reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Lead at the corporate head office in Burnaby.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and process employee corporate credit card expense reports
- Review and audit employee expense reports in Oracle ERP system
- Prepare month-end journal entries for credit card expenses
- Prepare intercompany transactions.
- Responsible for the Expense module in Oracle ERP system, including user, approver, and audit functions.
- Act as primary point of contact for Oracle Expense module including responding to employees' and approvers' enquiries regarding the Expense module.
- Verify expense reports to ensure they comply with company expense policies and procedures.
- Ensure accuracy of GST, PST; identify and calculate self-assessments when required.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls as part of the Corporate compliance with Sarbanes Oxley ("SOX")
Requirements:
- Bookkeeping experience with a preference to those with a Diploma in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 3 years of corporate credit card and employee cash expense auditing experience required
- Advanced Excel and Outlook skills, with a working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs; must be tech savvy
- Strong preference given to those with cloud-based ERP experience
- A working knowledge of accounting concepts and processes as they pertain to expense auditing
- Ability to problem solve effectively within the scope of the role
- Consistent and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining structure, timeliness, and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Highly responsible and reliable
*The successful candidates will be receiving training and work remotely from home initially. When re-opened, it could be a mix of work from home and in-office or fully work in the office.
